Management of erythrodermic psoriasis with individualised homoeopathy: An evidence-based case report

Introduction: Erythrodermic psoriasis (EP) is a rare and severe variant of psoriasis, with an estimated prevalence among psoriatic patients ranging from 1% to 2.25%. It presents as erythema, oedema, pruritus, ill-defined plaques, scaling, hair loss occasionally exudative lesions palmoplantar diffuse desquamation nail changes mild pitting onychodystrophy, more commonly involving the fingernails than toenails. Case Summary: A 60-year-old male patient, already diagnosed EP, presented extensive involvement body surface area (80–90%). He was treated Hepar sulphur based on acute totality, followed by Arsenicum sulphuratum rubrum starting 30C then higher potencies per requirement adherence homoeopathic principles. At baseline, scores severity index dermatology life quality were 54 30, respectively reduced zero after 8 months intervention, without any adverse events. Furthermore, during 2-year follow-up, patient had two episodes recurrence same complaints lesser intensity medicine favourable results. The causal attribution homoeopathy explicitly represented Modified Naranjo criteria for Homoeopathy before photographs. This evidence case report may pave path further research in treating difficult cases like EP individualised treatment.
